Notary Public

What is a Notary Public?

A notary public is a public officer constituted by law to serve the public in non-contentious matters usually concerned with estates, deeds, powers of attorney and foreign and international business. They can place a person on oath or undertake notarial executions. Whilst notaries in Scotland are always solicitors not all solicitors are a notary public. Often people require a Notary to certify documents required in foreign jurisdictions and Mr Lunny has the necessary seal to undertake this work. His seal is also authenticated with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth office.
